I received a copy of Ripley’s Century of Strange to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
While my son has always been fascinated by facts, it has always been my oldest daughter who loved Ripley’s facts. For one reason or another, she has always been fascinated by things that are a little off the normal path. Years ago as a little girl we took her to a game farm in Nova Scotia. The owner of the farm had her in the pen feeding a grizzly bear out of her hands. However, it was actually going upstairs, and playing with the snakes was her favorite part of the trip.
So the truth is that there is little surprise that she has a serious fascination for interesting and obscure facts and people. She has been a serious fan of Ripley’s believe it or not books for years. Last year we even got a chance to take her to Ripley’s Odditorium in Cavendish PEI and she loved it. So when I was thinking about stuff that would be ideal to showcase things that would suit girls like her on my holiday gift guide, it was no surprise that the idea of Ripley’s Century of Strange was something that popped into my mind.
A Century of Strange is a great book that details the past 100 years of fun and interesting facts. You can find the book on Amazon, online at Ripley’s as well as where ever you normally purchase your Ripley’s books. It has 256 pages and like All other Believe it or Not books. It is full color and definitely will bring you hours of thrills and enjoyment. And once again, the facts will absolutely astound you.

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not are such interesting books with so many unbelievable facts. Another Ripley’s book that I think would be fun to read is the Eye-Popping Oddities.
