My family received free admission to Marineland to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
Everyone has a favourite little thing they like to do on vacations, I love zoos, while our kids have always loved amusement rides. My wife has always wanted to see the live shows at Marineland since the first time she saw the commercial on TV.
Marineland really does have a lot to offer. We had an opportunity to check out Marineland this year and the live show was absolutely incredible. Even more fun, we got to meet and feed the dolphins. Normally we would have had the option to meet the Belugas instead of the dolphins. Because of a lot of recent births among the belugas, they chose to temporarily discontinue the public feedings at the time we were there.
Every One Had Fun At Marineland
Our autistic son does not always interact with animals that well and instead he enjoys watching them from a distance. The trainer wanted to include him in the meet and greet with the dolphins. He had us line up in front of the tank to take a picture with the dolphins (who chose that time to splash us all). This sent our son into a fit of giggles and he totally enjoyed the interaction.
The kids had a great time checking out the cool rides, laughing and enjoying themselves. I got a chance to see zoo exhibits which I enjoyed and my wife got to enjoy the live shows.
Our oldest daughter had a load of fun and she particularly enjoyed the Dragon Mountain rollercoaster. She loves rollercoasters but had never been able to go on a larger one like this before. I actually love rollercoasters as well and this was one of the best I have been on in a very long time.
Our youngest basically loved the whole thing. She loves the amusement park rides, and she was totally thrilled with the chance to feed and interact with the dolphins, which made her truly happy. Even our autistic son enjoyed the rides. He also loved going underground and watching the Beluga whales and their babies playing in the water.
My wife really loved the live show. While she normally is lukewarm to the idea of zoos, she really loved watching the bears as well. For some reason, even though I have seen cool bear exhibits before, this particular one seemed to be just that much better than most. The bears really seemed to thrive on the attention they were getting from the visitors. You could watch them often playing around just to get the crowd’s attention.
In my opinion, Marineland is one of those perfect little destinations. There really is a little something for everyone in the family.
This is the second time we have been to Marineland so far. Last year we went as well and my wife covered it on Raindrops and Sunshine. It is not hard to tell how much she loves the live shows.
