Very early on when Netflix originally came to Canada, I took out a trial membership. Over the years since, I have found that more and more of our family’s TV time was taken up by using Netflix over traditional cable channels. After a while, I found I was the only one using traditional cable at all. I was actually PVRing far more then I was watching and even still was often on Netflix instead.
About a year and a half ago, my wife and I took a look at our cable closely. We decided that in reality, the only thing I would miss if I cut out the cable was sports. Since I rarely ever watched sports any more anyway, it made sense to simply “cut the cord”
The reality is that I quickly realized that I did not lose anything by cutting the cord. In fact, I feel like I gained as I had a chance to check out some shows that I had not previously gotten around to watching.
My kids have not skipped a beat since they already had mostly switched. The kids often are more up-to-date then I am on exactly what new shows are coming for kids. They tend to know what new seasons will be released and they know when.
A few weeks ago, out of nowhere, I received an email offering me a spot on Netflix Canada’s Stream Team. It did not take me long to take up the opportunity as it gave me a chance to share about some shows I truly enjoy.
I am pleased to announce that I will now have the opportunity to share content from Netflix on a regular basis with my readers. I hope you enjoy reading about the shows I love to watch.

We have been cableless for a year and watch all things Netflix!
I know it is surprising just how much great stuff is there, not just for adults but for the kids as well.
I still have cable as my husband love the news and sport and I love survivor and amazing race. I have been a Netflix customer for over 2 years now and love it too. It’s a nice addition to Cable and we watch lots of movies and I love a few series.
I’m too cheap to upgrade to unlimited internet and a Netflix subscription.
I love Netflix ! I can’t wait for Stranger Things to come back ! I I love no commercials and the Netflix exclusives are awesome !

we have crappy internet so netflix isn’t good for here , but i sure wish i had it , its awesome when you can binge watch all your favorite shows and movies 🙂

We love Netflix and watch almost every evening.
You’re so lucky! It looks like the Stream Team gets really spoiled by Netflix. We are in a 3 year contract with our cable company or we would have cut the cord a year ago. We are counting down until next June when we can say goodbye to cable. We watch at least 80% of our shows on Netflix now anyway so I can’t imagine we will miss cable and that $80 per month will be much better spent somewhere else.

Cut the cord last year and so happy we did!!! One of our favourite shows on Netflix was Stranger Things….can’t wait for season 2 to start!
I have Netflix but only mainly watch it for movies, we have fibre internet and that is our tv as well, if hubby can not watch his shows he gets pretty angry..lol
A Netflix subscription is the best money I’ve spent in along time,it keeps the whole family happy !

Netflix has really changed how we watch tv. We love it and especially love discovering the Netflix Original series, have found some great new shows we love!

Love Netflix, great shows and great pricing compare to cable.
I am rural and have limited bandwidth so do not use Netflix
We do still have cable but I think it’s because we have a package with the internet and phone all in too. I very, very rarely watch cable these days. I’ve recently finished watching Ozark and Rectify and am now catching up on Bones. There are some good movies on Netflix too.
My hubby and I mainly watch movies via Netflix as we don’t have much chance to follow ongoing shows. But my kids enjoy a lot of animated shows like Paw Patrol, My Little Pony and Veggie Tales.
I don’t get a chance to watch NETFLIX a lot but I love X files and Supernatural the most right now

Netflix is great but I do have to watch that my teen isn’t bing watching when he should be studying.

I wish we could cut the cable but my husband loves sports so we’re keeping it for now. My daughter and I on the other hand love Netflix. My faves shows are Scandal, OITNB and Supernatural.
I wish that Netflix would come out with a guide… either online or on the tv – I don’t care! It would be so nice to be able to just look through and see what there is! Going by pictures takes forever and I often don’t have a clue what I want to look for. Just give me a list… please!
My family and I are big fans of Netflix! We’ve been talking about cutting the cord too, since we don’t use it much besides for the occasional sporting event and the news but we haven’t taken the plunge like you guys did! I don’t think I’d miss cable at all since I love so many Netflix shows and movies!
My favourite Netflix show is House of Cards
We converted to Netflix only a while ago and it has been great!
I watch a lot of movies on Netflix.
Netflix is the best streaming service out there. They have such a good selection… I am never out of shows to binge on!
We still have cable because my husband needs it for sports but I really only need Netflix. The TV in the bedroom doesn’t have a cable box, just a chromecast for Netflix!
