Over the years I have done a number of different types of jobs. However, I always end up coming back to doing work with my hands. If it is not my full-time job, then it is a part-time job, or even just something to do. But without fail I always end up finding that I am doing the types of repair work that requires tools of different sorts.
At this moment I am working on my blog and doing social media work. I also am on call as a maintenance man/super/handyman for a few buildings. Currently they include a commercial complex, a decently maintained low-end apt. and a relatively higher end small Condo complex. Given the wide types of buildings, it is no surprise that sometimes I need tools for one building that I would never need in another.
One tool that is always welcome though is a cordless drill. I actually have collected a number over the years and most are large and bulky. They serve their purpose, but there is a lot of times when I really wish I had a nice, powerful but relatively lightweight drill to haul into some tight spots. When the opportunity to review the Black+Decker 20V Smartech Drill came up, I was pleased as I really had nothing for that type of work.
The Black+Decker 20V Smartech Drill had some unexpected bonuses.
What I really did not anticipate was some of the little bonuses that come with this new generation of drill. Among the tools that add to its usefulness is a Bluetooth connection. This allows you to check the battery’s power level on your phone among other things. The battery also includes a locator function. Put your battery down while you are working and forget exactly where you put it, press a button on your phone and presto. If you find your phone running low on power, there is a USB port on the battery. That will charge whatever device you need charging (As long as you bring the cable of course). On the off chance that someone decides they are going to walk off with your battery, well you have the option of locking it while it is not in use rendering it useless to a potential thief.
All of these things add to the value of the Black+Decker 20V Smartech Drill. It makes it a very useful and smart investment for anyone doing maintenance and construction work.
