Disclosure: I received a PlayMonster Bean Blossom to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
My youngest daughter is something of an aberration when it comes to children. As far back as I can remember, she has always liked her vegetables. But more important than anything she loves green beans. She could eat a big plateful of them and would be extremely happy. I have never really been fond of any vegetables that are cooked with the exception of corn and potatoes. I have gotten to the point, that I can force a few down but still they’re my least favourite foods.
My daughter is also really into growing things, and over the years, she has grown a number of sunflowers and other flowers as well as rhubarb and carrots. However last year, during the middle of the night in early summer, a rodent of some form decided that it was going to take out her four foot sunflower by the roots and drag it away. She was quite upset. While we will likely try to plant sunflowers again, we also wanted something that would be safe from rodents.
This Bean Blossom plant is great as it gives her the opportunity to not only grow something she enjoys, but also gives her the chance to keep it inside, where the rodents can not get at it.
