WowWee toys gave me a RobosapienX to review.
I found this to be an interesting toy. Wowee developed the Robosapien for young children, however, it is good for even teens or adults. We ourselves have given it to our autistic son and he enjoys it, ….. But let’s be honest, it is not going to be just him playing with this.
I love robotics, I love tech toys and this one is something that I am going to have a hard job leaving alone myself. The kid in me believes that just the fact that the RobosapienX transcends the intended age ranges will make it so that even older children and adults will not be embarrassed to be caught playing with it.
The Robosapien made my son’s eyes light up when he saw it. This is a toy that he will be able to play with long past most other toys he will get at his present age, and given his abilities with all things electronic and technical I suspect that it will not take him long to learn how to do things with this toy that I will never even dream of.
The robot is a great toy to buy for a loved one who is interested in tech-type toys. Or for any robot enthusiasts out there. Surprisingly enough for the level of ability that this robot is capable of shows that it is a toy that is relatively cheap for this level of complexity.
I don’t want to wait till my son goes to bed for my turn. It is definitely something I am pleased with.

We just completed a French unit about Robots. I’d love to have one of these to show my students. We created robots out of recycled materials, rc cars and lego.
