Mike The Knight In The Great Scavenger Hunt
A few weeks ago I got to take my kids to yet another on of Koba Entertainment’s great live performances. We have gone to see a few of them over the past couple of years, however this was a new show with characters that had not been part of the previous repertoire. This time they decided that they were going to bring the children’s show Mike the Knight to town. Now for those of you who have watched the show, this is a fun little kids show with witches, knights, trolls and even a couple of dragons, oh and lets not forget the queen and the minstrel too.
The fact that they were going to pull this show off on stage was quite fun for me and so off we went to see the show. The kids were thrilled because Mike the Knight is a show that they watch fairly regularly and one of the shows that they enjoy. It was a very well done show that really showed off just how versatile some of the performers with Koba can be as they once again took a well known kids show and successfully turned it into a stage production. They made all of the standard elements of the show work wonderfully and the minstrel produced his customary interludes that not only fit the period but in all honesty actually were instrumental in making the show flow.
The best part with the minstrel’s performances were watching how all the kids in the theater were going nuts, singing along and just generally getting into his performances, but most important of all was watching as our son was smiling and laughing away and generally having the time of his life as he watched the show.
Once again Koba has had a major hit, something they seem to do quite well lately.
