Disclosure: Thames And Kosmos provided me with a Remote-Control Machines: Construction Vehicles to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
Thames and Kosmos has been a go to in my home for the past few years. They have a large collection of STEM based toys as well as some other cool toys and games. I have reviewed a number of Thames and Kosmos Products over the last couple of years including, an Amusement Park, Robot Engineer, Magic: Silver Edition, and even a fun Chocolate Science Lab as well as others. These products brought my children hours of joy and it is fun watching them play around with their projects.
This year I am getting the chance to try out a new remote control builder toy. This one is called the Remote Control Machines: Construction Vehicles and offers you the opportunity to create eight different remote control toys.
My son has in recent years started to show an interest in remote control toys and these projects gives me an opportunity to work with him to create a fun toy that he can play with. Because of his autism, the project requires both of us, however that is a great option as it allows for great bonding time and it adds to a little more of his ability to work on completing projects to get a fun goal at the end.
The instructions do say that there are small pieces and to keep them away from small children. However this is a great STEM opportunity. In addition, if your daughters are at all STEM inclined, this does offer a great opportunity. It allows for them to check out the inner workings of remote control and work on building their own toys. Who knows, maybe they will love playing with construction vehicles too.
The construction vehicles are surprisingly complex for a build yourself remote control toy. This of course allows for greater versatility and the ability to maneuver better than many other options provide.
These and other Thames and Kosmos products can be purchased off their website and through Amazon.com and .ca
Depending on availability, at time of writing if you purchase off the Amazon.com website, it is still possible to get Remote Control Machines: Construction Vehicles and other Thames and Kosmos products in time for Christmas, however it is best to look for the fulfilled by Amazon option to find the products that will ship quickest.
