Niagara Parks provided my family with tickets to Behind the Falls to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
I recently had the chance to check out Journey Behind The Falls on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. I snapped up the opportunity because I thought the whole idea was cool. A chance to get right in behind a huge waterfall and experience that massive power up close.
We had the chance to travel through some tunnels in behind the falls to a couple of viewing areas that gave us a really close personal look at just how hard and fast the water was moving. We also got to experience an exterior landing area where not only were we right beside where the falls came down, but were right it the midst of the blowing mist, giving us a very good feel of the power while still being far enough away to be safe. It was great fun to stand in the viewing area and check out the beautiful bridge. I enjoyed the chance to watch the “Maid of the Mist” make her journeys back and forth. But the biggest thrill was to watch the sheer massive volume of water as it crashed over the edge.
The Kids Loved Journey Behind The Falls
My wife and I always wanted to check out the Journey Behind the Falls. The kids had their little things they like to do but this was a little treat that I figured would make my wife and I happy. I had not expected how thrilled the kids would be. They thoroughly enjoyed walking around on the deck as well as checking out the viewing areas behind the falls. My son thought all the waves and water was totally excellent. He was thrilled and bouncing a good part of the time and was totally enjoying the sheer beauty and power of the water.
I did the journey behind the Falls as well and enjoyed it very much, I think everyone should go at least once!!
I certainly would enjoy checking out the Journey Behind the Falls.Someday i hope to do this. Thanks for the post i really enjoyed it !
My mom had the opportunity to live this experience…I would love to experience this with my autistic grand daughter!
We did it our last trip to Niagara Falls and it was an amazing experience, I would do it again.
I did this once as a child, many many years ago.
i am from the east and have yet to venture to see the falls. It is for sure on my bucket list!! So amazing!!
I have only been to that region once and did not participate in this. Wish I had now!
I would have loved to have done this when we visited Niagara Falls but with 7 kids in tow it wasn’t possible.
I would have loved to have done this when we went to Niagra Falls (which stills owes me a pacifier LOL)
