Disclosure: I was provided with tickets to Bird Kingdom to facilitate my post. All opinions are my own
I love Bird Kingdom. This is not my first visit and in reality it is likely not going to be my last. Located right down near the Falls in Niagara Falls, it looks like a quiet little unassuming little shop from the outside. Once inside you find yourself in a three story building. Most of the building is made up of different types of aviaries, in addition to a small museum.
The first aviary is one that houses a number of snakes and other reptiles and has a few larger parrots on display. This is a cool room and there is some really neat reptiles in here. The next room is dedicated to a wide range of smaller birds. These birds are mostly the size of a canary and there are a lot of them in here flitting about freely. There are a wide range of types of birds here and some really interesting colours.
The next up is the nocturnal section. While I love this section it is hard to take clear photos because of the low light. Other visits have largely turned out blurs. However suffice it to say that these animals are really cool. there are various nocturnal birds as well as some bats and other fun creatures.
Bird Kingdom’s Three Story Main Aviary
The reality is though that as always, the last section is my favorite. Three stories of what is essentially a tropical environment with an open concept. There is a pathway as you wander down the levels watching the cool waterfall on the back wall as well as the nesting birds. lower you get to see the Tea House and then down to the lower levels where you can see various birds on the ground wandering around and eating. The birds in this section are often colourful, they fly as well as wander around at will and it is fun watching them go about their lives as if their constant visitors are of no concern of theirs.

This is on my bucket list for next summer. Last summer we were a bit busy so next summer I’ve already added this to my wishlist, along with the hockey hall of fame.
