A Kinder Egg hunt
Easter is one of the most popular holidays in our home. Our kids always look forward to the family egg hunt. They get so full of excitement just before the event arrives. Normally we like to hold the egg hunt outside, but because of all the snow we’ve received this year we had to hold it inside the house. Which makes it a lot more of a challenge to think of unique hiding spots to hide the eggs.
While we are not a religious family, our daughters have become involved in a local church. The oldest now volunteers there after several years as a participant and the youngest participates in various church activities like choir, a summer day camp and a weekly kids group.
Once Easter season hits there is usually at least one family event at the church (an interactive chronicle of the last days was the theme in recent years) and then the kids follow that up with at least one Easter egg hunt organized by a different church here in town followed by our own family egg hunt featuring some variety of Kinder Eggs intermingled with other chocolate goodies and maybe even a good book or small stuffed toy.
In all honesty it is surprising just how busy the Easter season gets for us with the constant running back and forth to various functions but what is so much fun is watching how quickly my kids can settle down after it is over, kicking back with their Kinder eggs to find out what treats were inside while enjoying the chocolate and simply starting to gear down after a couple of week long marathon of activities and preparations.

My kids loves Easter egg hunts. As they have gotten older we have tried to make it more challenging. I enjoy watching them run away trying to hunt down those eggs
