I have used a number of ladders over the years, including one my father had around for years. Last year we were doing some work in the yard and Dad brought over his ladder and climbed up onto our roof and I watched my mother in the house just cringing as he treated that flimsy old ladder like it would outlast him and never fail. So when I had the opportunity to get my hands on this podium ladder this year, I thought it would be great for him.
The look on his face when I took it over to his house told me I had the right idea. The look of relief on my mother’s face when she saw we had gotten him a replacement ladder was clear as well. But even better was when they started looking the ladder over and realizing just how good it was.
See an important little detail I left out. My father is over 70, he is by no means frail. The fact that he was on my roof last year gives you an idea of how fit he still is. But he is still in his early 70’s and he does realize it and does “try” to be a bit more careful then he used to be. This ladder offers him some extra protection that other ladders do not. First there was the added stability which is a great thing, but secondly was the podium. The ladder offers him a platform that he can stand on. The top rail of a standard ladder is still there. However instead of an unsafe top step it becomes a waist high security bar, that allows for tool storage.

My choice to which I’d choose is the MT-13CA 13 ft Type IA Telescoping MultiLadder. In addition the Fiberglass Combination Ladder would be essential to serve multi-purposes & persons! Both of their purpose will serve many things from help with projects (including Eagle Scout), fundraisers (for plays) and work that has been put-off for some time due to limited finances!
I’d also like to have the the S322R-6CA 2-Step Type III Red and Black Steel Step Stool, that would make it much easier for me to reach my high windows for watering plants etc.
My hubby would like the following: D6224-2CA 24 ft Type IA Fiberglass D-Rung Extension Ladder. It would be so useful for him to get to high ceilings in the house to paint as well as he would be able to use it at the trailer to get onto the roof, instead of the method he uses now.
AL323-6CA 3-Step Type II Black and Silver Aluminum Step Stool .. I really really like this. I love that it has 4 levels and is light and compact which is important for me as we don’t have a real big place.
My husband would love this ladder very much and I would love one of the household step stools!!

Looks like a nice safe ladder. My husband has an old wooden one that makes me nervous every time he uses it.. I would love to have the AL323-6CA 3-Step Type II Black and Silver Aluminum Step Stool for myself to use.
I love that it has such a wide step on it, hate those skinny ones, my son woul dlove this being a bigger man it would be sturdier for him, I also would love the multi purpose ladder

We really need a MT-CA Series Aluminum Multi Purpose Ladder. We are painting our staircase. The ladder we are using is really old and unsafe. It wasn’t designed to be used in this way.

I like the MT-22CA 22 ft Type IA Telescoping MultiLadder because it is versatile and easy to transport. This would be nice to have around the house.
I like that this ladder has a podium. It seems much more stable than a regular ladder of it size. I am sure that my hubby would like the Fiberglass Combination Ladder.
I would love an attic ladder because right now we just use a regular ladder but an attic ladder would be much more convenient.
