This is a sponsored post for FastKeys replacement keys and locks. All opinions are my own.
I have been involved in property management for years. One of my jobs over the years has been to clean out apartments after people move out. It would surprise many people how much stuff will get left behind by tenants who are moving. Things they no longer want or things that will not fit into their new property. Sometimes it is just things they simply did not get a chance to take with them.
FastKeys Offers Replacement Keys and Locks
I will often try to take items that are left behind to a local charity to be resold. This can be complicated however when the items that you find contain locked drawers of various forms and no keys. One option is to look for the number that many manufactures include on the lock face. By going to FastKeys you can order replacement keys and have them shipped out. It is normally possible to receive the keys within 7 to 10 days.
In some cases the number might not be shown on the face and you do not have access to the number. In that case you can also order replacement locks to replace the existing lockset. I do not like to throw out perfectly useable but otherwise discarded furniture so this can be an incredibly useful service for people like me. It is also very useful for people who are working in an office type environment. Keys for various pieces of furniture often get lost over time. Rather then throwing out and replacing furniture like this, it can continue it’s useful life simply by virtue of a replacing a set of keys or the lock.
This is definitely a service I would consider using in the future. Really it is one I wish I had known about previously.

I’m always finding keys laying around in drawers, I never know what they were used for, so they get thrown in a container with all the other keys!!

I used to have a collection of old keys that no longer had any lock for them to fit into, they had to go when I moved. This sounds like a very useful tip to have on hand if you ever lose a key or need to replace one.

We are lucky, we have an excellent lock smith and friend in town. He is 86 and still working and loving his job.

I could have used this service a while back. I attended an auction and ended up with five four drawer file cabinets, none with keys and all locked. I did get them opened and found some useful and valuable items in them.
