Disclosure: I received a nutri ninja Duo to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
Every new year, we all look at ourselves and try to find ways to improve the way we live our lives. Last year, in February, I got involved with Ninja Kitchens. I started by reviewing one of their 1200Watt Nutri Ninja Auto IQ Compact Systems. We were looking for a healthier way to eat and one of those changes included moving to having a smoothie for breakfast most days. This has worked well for the past year. There have been definite improvements to the way we feel overall and largely for the better.
During the summer, I reviewed the Ninja coffee bar and we carried the healthy change further. I started making our own iced cappuccinos (successfully) cutting down on the costs of going to the coffee shop every day. At the same time, we improved how much sugar, caffeine, calories, fat etc. we got in the ones we make ourselves. Again this was another winning move and we saved some significant money during the summer. Once again we could feel the improvement in how we felt overall.
Upgrading Our Nutri Ninja
This year as I was looking at what changes we could make, I felt that it would be a good step to upgrade to a stronger machine. I also wanted to look at what other changes we could make to the way we handled our food. The 1600 Watt Nutri Ninja® Ninja® BlendMAX Duo is a great opportunity there. The larger 88 oz (11 Cup) blender pitcher would allow me to do things that were not previously possible with the smaller 40 oz size of our older model. This would allow us to experiment with things like home made salsa’s, puree’s, and soup stocks. We could do it in quantities that would allow us to feed our entire family. This was an advantage over sticking to smaller portions that could only work for just two or three of us.
As always, every time we make a change, we try to make sure that it offers a healthy improvement to the way we live our lives.

I love smoothies as a way to start the day, as an afternoon treat or to get extra fruits and veggies into our family’s diet. It’s perfect for soups (I did see the warning about not blending hot liquids), pesto, hummus, or fabulous and fun “dessert” beverages. This definitely looks like a welcome addition to your family food and beverage adventure. So many things like pesto can be frozen for easy and fast use on those busy weeknights. Thanks for the review and your insights.

I too could benefit from the larger blender pitcher! For the longest time, we only had the nutri bullet and then finally bought a “regular” blender but I still found it too small (basically smoothie for two max). I’d love to experiment with a big blender like this too.
Shelley Butcher says
I love my small nutri ninja. There are times though that I could definitely use a larger machine.
Lushka Smith says
