Disclosure: I received a Moto G4 Play from Motorola to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
I have had the opportunity to try out Motorola products before. In fact I actually had a chance to review the Moto G for my 2015 Holiday Gift Guide. Since then Motorola has kept updating the products, introducing both the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Play.
I find Motorola phones to be among the best quality products on the market. The cameras are high quality, the Moto G4 Play for example offers a 5MP front facing camera and an 8MP rear facing camera and has the capabilities of recording video in 1080p. For those who love having a ready camera available for quick pictures or video, these features are pretty good in a phone camera and are even comparable to some lower end cameras.
The battery is a 2800 mAh, all day battery that will allow you to use it for extended periods between charging (exact usage will affect the length of charge). I originally was using a different branded phone and while it was useful, it was only when I switched to the Motorola, that I realized just how much better the phones could be.
The phone comes standard with a 16G internal storage with the option adding up to 128G through a microSD card.
Over the years I have used all three major platforms. I tend to find that the Android is the best option. It takes up significantly less room then the windows platform and in a phone that can become a major issue. It also has more versatility as well, with more apps being written for Android then for Windows.
Dont forget to check out the Motorola Canada website to keep up to date.
