Disclosure: I received two Marbleocity Marble Run sets to facilitate this feature. All opinions are my own.
Last summer our kids took part in a local church’s VBS program. While we don’t actually attend the church, our kids have been involved in some of their programs for years. It has gotten to the point where our eldest aged out of the programs. Now she volunteers in the same programs she enjoyed so much when she was younger.
This past summer the theme of the program was “Maker Fun Factory”. For the past three years my son has also been aged out of the program. However because our daughter is a volunteer and our youngest still participates, they have consistently made space available for our son. Even though his autism is severe, there is no problem to see how much he enjoys himself. And really it is not hard to see. When my son is happy, he is very expressive and there is no mistaking it.
One of the signature videos for Maker Fun Factory was a song done to the video of a massively huge jerry-rigged marble run. He always seemed to get a huge kick out of all the effects and triggers that were shown in the video. So when I had the opportunity to check out Playmonster’s marble run series I simply had to give I try.
It is significantly more complex and intricate than the one in the video. However it definitely is something that is going to make him happy watching the marbles run around the track. And since PlayMonster designed these sets so that they would work together, the two sets they sent me is sure to give him some interesting combinations.
These kits from Playmonster are sure to give kids a great option not only to build but a fun marble run as well, combining the fun of two separate games.
