I went into this book looking for information. Specifically one of our children has fears about things that to me were basic things that most people deal with on a daily basis.
While I found definite tools for helping our child deal with these issues, what I also found was a very valuable reference that actually was not only easy to read but helped explain how these fears not only affected our child but by extension our entire family and our ability to enjoy some basic things.
I also found while reading this book that not only was it good for dealing with our child’s fears but that it was also valuable in the fact that it gave us another tool that could potentially help our son deal with some of his autistic tendencies and some of the “quirks” that can put a crimp on day to day living.
In all I think this was perhaps the most valuable of the medical help type books I have read over the years and find that it was probably going to be a book that we as parents refer back to repeatedly as we go through various stages of raising our children.
