This is a sponsored post for Berganza Antigue and Vintage Jewellery. All opinions are completely my own.
One interesting tradition, that I have witnessed in many families is the passing down of family rings and jewels. Many successful marriages in some families have been solemnized over a ring, that has been passed down generation after generation.
This is a great tradition to have in place. One I am sure many families will endeavor to continue through the years. These rings are often old and of a level of quality and subtlety that is unmatched in much of today’s jewellery. The problem with these traditions is that if there is more than one child in the family, or if a ring gets lost or stolen. Then there becomes a sense of loss over the ending of the tradition.
Berganza Antigue and Vintage Jewellery
One option for rejuvenating the tradition (or even starting new ones) is to search out a new vintage or antique ring. This will allow for new traditions to be built. There are many options available, however one that has caught my attention is Berganza. They have a very intriguing selection of rings. Some are more recent and one I saw dating all the way back to the 1400’s. They also have something for every budget. There are some items coming in under £1000 for those of us on a more modest budget. They can also cater to the needs of those who scrimp and save to be able to make a significant investment in a major piece of jewellery.
There is one neat concept when you think of these old pieces of jewellery. The stones in many of these rings come from mines that were closed long ago because they were mined out. These stones are the likes of which it will be hard to find again.

My mother just gave my daughter a necklace that is about 70yrs old. My mother is 93 and still wears her wedding ring that is so thin it is like a peice of wire.
