Decades ago we used to open up our camera, put in a roll, take 12 or 24 photos (depending on the camera and your size of film). We would then open it up and go to the store to print the roll off. It was so much fun opening up that envelope to see which of your photos was going to make it. We could usually count on one good shot per roll (others probably had better luck then I did) and hopefully it was an important photo.
Over time we switched to digital cameras, and as time progressed our cameras got better and better. The advantage now is that I can stand there and flip through the photos right there and if I have to reshoot to get a good shot, I do. This means that I get to preserve all my memories.
The disadvantage to that is that I now have many GBs of space on my computers and wireless drives and they are great to look at. However, there are times when you want a hard copy. It might be a great shot you took of a sunset, or a photo of your kid graduating. How about that silly shot that captures just how you really feel. It might even be that great shot you had buried on your computer that is a perfect memory of that friend or relative that recently passed away.
This is where Amazon Prints comes in. If you are like me, you already use Amazon for ebooks, or other goodies that you find from time to time. Amazon also has a service called Amazon Prints. Amazon Prints that allows you to store and print those digital photos you want to have printed out so badly.
Here are just a few details about using Amazon Prints for your photos:
- Amazon Prime Members get unlimited photo storage (this can be huge)
- Non-prime members get 5GB of storage (this is still a pretty huge storage)
- Prime members get free delivery
- Prints start as low as 9 cents a photo.
The Photo Printing can be done in many forms, Photo Books, Gifts, Pictures, Canvases, Large Prints, Calendar Creation, Wall décor, Cards etc. all which allow you to choose what works best for you for each particular photo.
Amazon has provided gift cards for use as prizes. Giveaway is open to US only and Ends June 22
1 winner will receive 1 $500 Amazon Gift Card & 5 runners up will receive 1 $100 Amazon Gift Card each.

The feature I like it that I can save and back up my photos. I can order them right from home. The idea of being able to order large prints.
