1 Girl Nation
When I first started listening to some of the music by 1 Girl Nation I was skeptical. I am not a huge fan of either boy bands or girl bands and so was unsure how the music would play out.
The first thing I noticed was my four year old dancing along to the video and trying to copy the actions, the second thing I noticed was my son coming to look over my should to take a look and see what the video was all about.
Overall I found 1 Girl Nation to be surprisingly good. What they produced not only in the video but in their music overall was a very interesting sound that was easy on the ears and still was able to get their message across.
I have over the years spent many hours watching and enjoying things like the Gaither Gospel Hour some of their large Christian music productions (even though I am not an overly churchy person) however the music has always been something that appealed to me.
This group of girls has successfully put themselves forward as a group that can achieve the same level of success but with a far younger audience, they have a sound that young people listen to and enjoy (as my kids quickly showed) and they also manage to put their message out in a way that the young people will actually listen to.
This was a surprisingly good album and something I would recommend for anyone trying to teach their children Christian or Gospel music.
